A 9 year old girl, on my field hockey team, told her mom this:
"I always want to be wing- and I never really want to be half back. I'm really good at halfback- so now I'm going to concentrate on being THE BEST HALFBACK EVER!"
This MADE my night! All these kids want to play- offense, offense, offense. Like Defense is some horror house- no one want to go there. Granted some are better in D-- some better in offense. 3/4's into the season- you really can start to watch these girls. See where their talents are- where they need work. I really love love love coaching these girls. It's a lot of fun!!! We are still undefeated- which is pretty cool. yeah- a big giant gush to my ego :wink: but it's cool for them. They play well together. They communicate, pass the ball nicely- and starting to dodge- and are over-all having a good time with this. I'm 'in'.. In for the long haul:)
