Here- but not here....

Today- I've started to paint the doors-- the storm doors and side lights that is.  The actual front doors will be stained.  The doors are finally back on the house, after 22 years of doing the deed as the 'Mens and Ladies Room' doors-- when our home was a restaurant.  In the fall, they were able to resume their position as 'official welcome wagon' but they have yet to be stained.  The storm/screen doors though... are another story all together.  Those I had made by a local woodworker and they suit the house just perfectly:)  We kind of worked on the design together- but ultimately they are his doing.  He kind of surprised me, with the finished product-- which I love.  The trim and sidelights will be white, the storms black and then the actual front doors- stained natural.  The photo below- what I think is completely odd-  I took a series of photos when I took the below one.  A few of the doors, the gardens, etc....  Clear, perfectly dry, sunny day.  Just in this one [below] - the orb.  Every one has different opinions of orbs.... As I have my own.  I just think it's rather ironic how it's there, in only one photo- as if to be checking out the work in progress.  Watching as the house is transformed back into what it once served as--> as home.  Call me crazy BUT-----

Anyhow-- The man who built the doors can be found here:    http://www.victorianaeast.com/

Besides that- school is about out for one [tomorrow]= and then next Thursday in the final day for the other.  Lacrosse is done with, basketball is done with.  I'm taking a summer college class, which is not as fun as I thought it would be.  That too- is about finish.  Only 3 classes left.
We have moved our things to LBI, to the tiny summer rental- and are waiting patiently for the ocean to warm up a bit.   I have so much yard work- it's not even funny.  There are times I really picture just moving back to LBI- where it was pretty simply, way more manageable.  But then- i don't know... to be outside at our house- at night-  it's really magical.  I know that may sound pretty silly- but it truly is.  I really can't explain it, you just have to Feel it.  Granted, I would never move and change schools- until both of my girls are finished with High School.  We're in one of the top High Schools for Field Hockey and Lacrosse-- and yes, academics.

Hold on tight- summer is here and it's going to be a fun ride:)
